FFMI LAUNCHES NEW VIDEO SERIES ON THE IMPLICATIONS FOR INVESTIGATIONS INTO BIG TECH

“FFMI Explains” Will Feature Academics, Experts and Industry Insiders Discussing
What Is On The Horizon For Tech Giants Amid Growing Scrutiny

The Free & Fair Markets Initiative today launched its new video series titled “FFMI Explains,” which will provide expert commentary on the ongoing investigations into the most powerful tech companies and provide useful insights for lawmakers, regulators, media, and the public.

“FFMI has been long been sounding the alarm about the power and control that the largest tech companies have amassed over the years,” said Robert B. Engel, chief spokesperson for FFMI. “But still the question remains: What are we going to do about it?”

“We are thrilled to be able to bring together such a diverse group of leaders in their respective fields to take this challenge head on and deliver impactful insights that can help level the playing field.”

The first episode of “FFMI Explains” features EconOne managing director and Georgetown University adjunct professor Hal Singer discussing antitrust concerns surrounding Amazon’s private label practices.

“It’s no secret that companies like Amazon are posing a big headache to regulators,” said Singer.
“But if we want to figure out these problems in our lifetimes, we are going to need to put all the cards on the table.”

Upcoming episodes of “FFMI Explains” will include industry experts discussing emerging issues on Amazon’s third-party marketplace and small business owners providing their perspective on Big Tech’s impact on retail.
