AMAZON’S GROWTH STORY IS NOT FOREVER

Amazon Touts Beating Q4 Expectations, But Slowing Growth Should Raise Concerns

Robert B. Engel, chief spokesperson for the Free & Fair Markets Initiative (FFMI), released the following statement in response to Amazon’s Q4 earnings report.

“Amazon has been promoting a tall tale of organic growth for years while quietly taking billions in taxpayer subsidies and scooping up massive government contracts to rapidly expand its business. But three straight quarters of slowing growth should have investors very worried.

And with possible regulation coming down the pike, this could be a canary in the coal mine for Amazon. But the fact is that this will be a mess of Amazon’s own making.”
