TAX (AVOIDANCE) DAY: AMAZON’S SCHEME IS A SLAP IN THE FACE TO MILLIONS OF AMERICANS   

It’s Time For Lawmakers To Step In And Restore Fairness

Robert B. Engel, chief spokesperson for the Free & Fair Markets Initiative (FFMI), released the following statement on Amazon paying $0 in taxes for the second consecutive year.

“Shame on Amazon for using every trick in the book to avoid paying a single penny in taxes while millions of honest, hard-working Americans pay their fair share. Make no mistake: Amazon exploiting endless tax breaks and subsidies is not a victimless scheme. It means that Americans are paying Amazon’s bills.

It’s time for lawmakers throughout the country to say enough is enough. They must demand that Amazon starts paying its fair share.”
