Amazon Using Tax Dollars To “Subsidize Its Warehouses” And “Really Terrible Jobs”

Advocate Stacy Mitchell calls out “appalling” idea that tax dollars being used for subsidizing Amazon’s warehouses and their terrible working conditions.

That’s the thing that you hear from Amazon workers. They’re exhausted. They can’t even make it for a restroom break. They are really terrible jobs, and they’re rapidly being automated. As Amazon grows it’s effectively eliminating far more jobs in the economy than it’s creating. The idea that, yeah, your tax dollars went to subsidize its warehouse construction is really appalling.
